Plot:-
The film tells the story of Code breaker Alan Turing who had a key role in helping the allies win World War 2.
Performances:-
Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing - This role was supposed to be done by Leonardo Di Caprio, while Benedict is also a great actor, there is some hangover of Sherlock in this film, probably due to the similarities between the characteristics Sherlock Holmes & Alan Turing, and in some point we're confused If were seeing Alan Turing or Sherlock Holmes, But that's not bad enough to rule out his performance as a bad one, as he had tried his best to get into the skin of his character, and it almost worked.
Keira Knightley as Joan Clarke - With the Pirates of the Caribbean days behind her, the only thing that went wrong is perhaps her costume, In real life Joan Clarke was said to be a rather very simple woman, with a different Hairstyle, but with standing all of these errors, Keira's performance is commendable.
Others are adequate in their roles.
Technicalities:-
Cinematography by Oscar Faura - His camera work is classy with Eastman color in which Dark Red is highlighted in particular.
Production Design - Imitation Game has rich Production values, particularly the missions which are used in the film have been designed to nearly accurate to the real ones.
Music by Alexandre Desplat - His scores are Oscar worthy with the main theme music in particular provides the right feel for the audience.
Adapted Screenplay by Graham Moore :-
While praise worthy & thrilling, the script some times takes its own liberties in mis-interpreting a few important events in the film, but in the end does enough justice to Alan Turing's legacy.
