Indru Nettru Naalai Review :-

PLOT :-

Elango (Vishnu) is an unlucky jobless graduate in love with Anu (Miya George), after her father rejects their love, Elango and his friend Puli (Karunakaran) find a time machine through which their lives changes forever.

PERFORMANCES :-

VISHNU VISHAL AS ELANGO - Vishnu needs to be lauded for trying out another script driven film like this after Mundassupati and Jeeva, his performance was also decent and he improved as an actor very well in emotional scenes .
MIYA GEORGE AS ANU - Her natural acting and her girl next door looks helps the romantic angle to connect with audience, she managed to leave her presence felt in her brief yet important role .
KARUNAKARAN AS PULIVETTI - He plays an astrologer who gets rejected by astrologers society as he failed in his horoscope examination, a well sketched character and a humor packed performance from Karuna makes Puli as one of the best supporting characters of recent times after Muniskanth,Assault Sethu & Anbu .
TM KARTHIK AS PARTHASARATHY - Though he comes only for few initial scenes of the time machine and returns after a long gap, his role was very important in pushing forward the film's scenes, its a good decision by the director to keep him restricted in important scenes to avoid overcrowd of characters .
OTHERS like Jaya Prakash as Mia's father and Ravi Shankar as the villain are adequate in their roles

TECHNICALITIES :-

CINEMATOGRAPHY BY A.VASANTH - Camera work is good, but could have used different lightings for richer visuals and feel.
EDITING BY LEO JOHN PAUL - This film is among the rarest of the rare where the professional relationship between the Director & Editor is very healthy, often few new age films end up with unwanted lags in crucial scenes , but here almost everything is top touch, the final cut is crisp with most the scenes having their timed impact later as the film progresses .
COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGERY - The design of the time machine looks good on-screen despite being rendered with a restricted budget
MUSIC BY HIPHOP THAMIZHA AADI - His songs we're very pleasant to hear, and we're backed up with decent presentation on screen, the BGM also sinks well with the film's screenplay .
PRODUCTION DESIGN - Though there are only a few scenes where it go deep into the past, Production design was still notable, the office and the small car of Parthasarachy we're also neatly designed even with the limited budget .

WRITTEN & DIRECTED BY R RAVIKUMAR :-

R Ravikumar is one of the best debut directors of recent times like AG Amid of Rajathandhiram fame earlier this year, most directors would think creative but fail in developing it into a strong script, however Ravikumar proves to be an exemption, despite dealing with a complicated concept like time travel, he keeps it simple with a brilliant screenplay that is also easy for the audience to understand. The film takes some time probably about 20 mins at the start to introduce the characters but once Vishnu and his friend start using the time machine, the film turns very interesting. On the downside, Ramadoss who played Muniskanth in Mundassupati could have been used better as his jokes didn't work, another such scene is a conversation between the Villain and his former boss which doesn't have much to do with the film .

PLUS :-

Characters
Performance
Screenplay
Music
Direction
Production Design
VFX
Climax

MINUS :-

2 or 3 unwanted scenes in 2nd half
Comedy could have been handled better

THE FINAL WORD : Simple, logical, Interesting and very entertaining, Indru Netru Naalai is a must watch for all audience who expect something new and fresh in films .
RATING : 8.75/10
