REVIEW :-
I think I can leave paragraph this empty as all the experienced actors have done their roles sincerely .
Though most of the film is set inside a pub, it doesn't feel tiring as the camera keeps on moving giving the audience a feel like they are watching the scenes live on person Also the extensive use of back lighting & color corrections have given the film a rich look.
Editing could have been done a little better, as there is a lag in the initial scenes of 2nd half, it takes time for the film to pick up but once its all set, the thrill resurfaces and remains steady for the last 25 mins .

The stunt choreography is the main highlight of the film, though the locales are limited, fight sequences are top notch .
Kamal Haasan as expected has bettered the original french film "Sleepless Night" in several instances, yet Thoongaavanam suffers from the same issue as Nuil Blance, after some good twists and turns the the film stuck with not much interesting happening in the beginning of the 2nd half . What Kamal has done here to compensate for it is strong characterizations for everyone in the film, especially Madhu Shalini's character has been given more importance here despite limited screen time .
And finally Suka's dialogues are among the film's highlights, Rajesh M Selva makes a decent directional debut .

Overall : Thoongaavanam is an entertaining Indianized Modern day action thrillers, If past Kamal films had complaints of being too artistic & slow, this one is a strong response from the legend to all those complaints .
Rating : 7.5/10
