PLOT :-
Ganesh (Ajith Kumar) comes to Kolkata with his sister Thamizh (Lakshmi Menon) to admit her in an arts & crafts college, while he himself has some unfinished business from the past to deal with .
REVIEW :-
Its Ajith's one man show all the way, starting from the pre-interval scenes to the North Madras Tamil he spoke in the flashback portions, apart from acting, he has done some serious workout in the gym for the surprisingly good physique.
Shruthi Haasan's character & performance are enough to make our ears bleed, her dubbing and the terrible sense of humor are too hard to sit through . The so called comedian Soori is no different, as usual he tried hard to imitate veteran comedian Vadivelu, but his comedy is too artificial to make us laugh, frankly speaking, Motta Rajendran did better comedy than him with limited screen time .
Apart from looking good, Lakshmi Menon's matured performance is remarkable, the sentiment scenes that she shares with Ajith are easily far superior to everything else in the film .

For others performance, few are adequate, few are barely okay but they can't be blamed as their characters itself are strictly one dimensional .
Now coming to technical aspects,
Cinematography is bright and colorful, even blink and miss scenes have been captured well by Vettri .
Editing has its own ups and downs, one hand the comedy scenes are a torture, on the other, the insert shots of Vettri have been connected well in key scenes and fight sequences .
Anirudh compensates for the weak album with his BGMs in crucial portions.
And at last kudos costume designer Anu Vardhan, your work is some of the film's saving grace .

And here comes the film's biggest letdown, Director Sivakumar J a.k.a. Veeram Siva, the so-called king of commercial cinema. Before I start, I would like to say that worshiping some actor on screen, writing terrible fillers and covering it up with some message as an excuse is not commercial cinema . If you're okay to watch such films, then its your choice go ahead and watch, but even If the film turns a commercial success, I'm not going to spare Siva here .
First thing is first, casting Kabir Singh as 2nd villain & Rahul Dev as the main villain is some of the worst cases of miscasts I've ever heard off . And the dubbing artist chosen for Kabir Singh was a pathetic choice, felt very sorry for the talented new villain . And one kind request to directors, unless u can pen some genuinely funny comedy scenes, don't force those scenes into the film . Keeping those major flaws aside, the way he scripted the transformation scene, interval bang, flashback ending & small twist in the climax are commendable .
PLUS :-
Ajith's screen presence
Motta Rajendran
Cinematography
BGM in parts
Costume Design

Overall : Ajith fans can enjoy in theaters, others can watch If they can sit through some of these cheesy scenes I had hinted earlier or else skip it .
